  When Do I Pay?   You pay just before the reading. Set up your appointment with me, and about five minutes before, confirm that we're still a go (no technical problems, etc). Then go to the Readings page, click on the PayPal button next to the reading you want, and pay for the reading. If you are meeting me in person for a psychic tarot reading, you have the option to pay in cash then.

Setting Up A Time  

Once you've decided which reading to buy, here's how you can contact me to arrange a reading time:

  • Click the Sightspeed button on my Readings page; or
  • Paste this URL in your browser window: http://people.sightspeed.com/nalanitarot@yahoo.ca/ ; or
  • Sign up with SightSpeed; or
  • Chat with me either my using the chat window on my Readings page, or thru the chat feature with SightSpeed (above). If I'm available, I will do a reading for you on the spot! If not, leave a message for me either thru SightSpeed's video email or thru my regular email, nalanitarot@yahoo.ca letting me know what reading you want and what your availability is. I try to indicate my availability for the day on my Readings page.

About the Emailed MP3/Video Summary  

With the purchase of a Power or Power-Lite reading, I will record a summary (or summaries if we do more than one major spread) of your reading & email them/it to you! Let me know at the beginning of the reading that you want this. At the end of each major spread, before moving to the next one, I will sum up what the spread means, and record it. I will then email you a recording (either video or .wav) of the reading summary. Remember to specify whether you want a video or MP3 summary, and to give me your email address! Should you choose .wav, you will be able to play it on your IPOD or MP3!

SightSpeed & Internet Explorer
 

You MUST be using INTERNET EXPLORER 6 or higher. Clicking the Sightspeed button on my Readings page triggers a plugin which will only work with Internet Explorer 6+. It then allows you to go directly to my account & contact me without actually signing up with Sight Speed. It does seem to be a bit finnicky, though.

Signing Up with SightSpeed  

Remember, you can try to get a VIDEO reading thru SightSpeed without having to sign up, by either clicking on the SightSpeed button on my Readings page, or by clicking this URL http://people.sightspeed.com/nalanitarot@yahoo.ca/ but it often doesn't work.

You're best bet is to sign up for Sightspeed here. It's FREE, they don't ask for any personal info other than your email address which they use to set up your account, and it's a LOT of fun! You won't believe the quality of the video & audio!

When you sign up, SightSpeed will send you an email. Wait a couple of minutes after signing up then check your email, and if SightSpeed's email's there, follow their instructions to activate it. Easy! Go back to SightSpeed and add me (nalanitarot@yahoo.ca) to the contact list using the Add Contact button on the Main page.

Once I'm on your list, the button to the left of my picture/icon will indicate my status: Green means available, red means busy, grey means offline, orange means do not disturb, and yellow means away. If you roll your mouse over nalani.tarot a menu will appear to the right of my name with three icons: A camcorder (video), a phone (phone), and a speaking bubble (chat), and you can choose the best way to contact me

When I first bought my webcam, I tried using it on MSN Messenger & Yahoo Messenger. The sound was so choppy I had difficulty understanding the person I was talking to, and got choppy pictures, not really video. I tried SightSpeed and couldn't believe the difference, even though I was using the same (old) computer and webcam! Since discovering SightSpeed, my brother & I have been 'calling' each other every day! Occasionally there may be video delay or some audio interference, but it's infrequent, and overall the performance is excellent. Get yourself a webcam, earphones & mic, and give it a shot!

Remember to plug in your headset/mic/webcam before starting! The SightSpeed's installation will guide you thru the setup process, setting up an account name and password, and downloading the software, which you then run. It will then ask you to choose a language, add your webcam (if it works with SightSpeed), optimize your video, and ask you to select your internet (DSL/Cable/Modem), ask you to select your speaker & do an audio test. Once you're ready to go, you can have video calls, audio calls, and chat with and send video blogs and chat with other SightSpeed members. You should be up and running in roughly 10-20 minutes.

Note: I believe SightSpeed's recently upgraded their servers, and occasionally you may have problems connecting. If that happens, try a couple of times more right away. If that's no go, try again, a litte while later.

SightSpeed, Firewalls & Routers
 

If you have problems making a video call, particularly if you get an error message saying the peer-to-peer connection failed, it may caused by your firewall or router. If you didn't think you had a firewall, the firewall that comes with your Operating System may be on, or the DSL modem provided by your ISP may have a hidden firewall. I discovered that Sympatico's modems do, and until my brother found a work around, I was unable to have a video conference.

So if you're having problems connecting, check the info SightSpeed provides about firewall & router issues here.

Gear Specifications   Webcams
SightSpeed lists & rates the cameras it's compatible with here! I found that the most recent version of the Logitech Quikcam STX isn't compatible with SightSpeed. The old one works beautifully though! I also discovered that if I tried to update the driver for a webcam listed as compatible, or if I allowed the installation software to do it for me, SightSpeed would no longer recognize the webcam. Once I re-installed the original driver, things were fine.

Headsets
If you have a webcam, it may have a built-in mic. However, even if it does, webcam mics used with your computer speakers can cause either feedback, or an audio echo. To avoid this, or to take advantage of SightSpeed without a webcam, you need a computer headset or earphones & a computer mic. Computer headsets have earphones with a boom mic and start at $15 - $20. Computer mics start at $10, and you can get either at any computer store, or at a Staples or Future Shop. As for earphones, you can simply plug the ones that come with your MP3 or walkman into your computer.

   
 
Getting a LIVE VIDEO Tarot Reading Once you've connected with me on SightSpeed, you can get a live video reading, regardless of whether or not you have a webcam or headsets! If you've got...

NO MIC/EARPHONES OR WEBCAM ,
You'll see me, but I won't see you, and we'll communicate via chat or telephone:

log on to SightSpeed, then contact me. You will be able to watch me do your tarot reading live on your computer! If you want, click on the <strong>Full Screen </strong> icon in the SightSpeed window, just below the video box. Then you'll be able to watch me full screen - almost as large as life! However, although you'll be able to see and hear me, but I won't be able to see or hear you. However, we'll solve the communication issue one of two ways:

By Phone: When you email me to set up an appointment, advise that you're going to use SightSpeed to see me, but a phone to communicate with me. We'll exchange numbers (I'll give you mine, or you'll give me yours, depending on your preference). Once you've logged on to SightSpeed and connected with me, call me on your phone (or I'll call you), and you'll be able to watch me give you your psychic tarot reading on your computer, while communicating with me by phone!
OR,

By Chat: Log on to SightSpeed. Once you've connected with me, use SightSpeed's chat feature to communicate with me. You'll be able to watch me give you your psychic tarot reading. I'll talk to you, and you'll respond by using the chat feature.

With both, you'll watch me as I deal your cards, and explain them to you. I'll hold cards up and ask you to pick them. I'll cut the deck, and ask you to choose the pile that feels right to you.

NO WEBCAM, But Mic/Earphones
We can both hear each other and you can see me but I can't see you:

Plug in your earphones & mic , log on to SightSpeed, then contact me. We'll both be able hear each other, but although you'll be able to see me, I won't be able to see you. As above, you'll watch me as I deal your cards, and explain them to you. I'll hold cards up and ask you to pick them. I'll cut the deck, and ask you to choose the pile that feels right to you.

WEBCAM & MIC/EARPHONES
You can see & interact with me from anywhere in the world, without any long distance charges!

Plug in your headset & webcam, log on to SightSpeed, then contact me. We'll be able to see and hear each other. You'll watch me as I deal your cards, and ask questions as I explain them to you. You'll choose the cards for your psycnic tarot reading. In short, you'll have a totally interactive psychic tarot reading that will feel as if I'm right there with you, all from the comfort of your home!

 
 
Getting a PHONE Tarot Reading

If you want, I can give you a tarot reading over the phone. I have a long distance plan for Canada. So, using either chat or email, contact me. I can either give you my number for you to call me, or (to take advantage of my long distance plan), you give me your number, and I call you.

So, if you are calling from outside of Canada, or do not want me to call you, then you'll call me and pay any long distance charges. Calling cards are quite reasonable now, though.

  
 
Getting a Tarot Reading IN PERSON  

Again, contact me via my chat space or email link, both on the Readings page. We'll arrange a time, and I'll give you my phone number (in case you get lost!) and directions. I'm conveniently located steps from the subway in downtown Toronto. While I'd be happy to do a video Mini or Relationship reading for you, I do not do them in person, unless a couple of you come as a group.

Speaking of groups! I can add magic & myster to any event - whether large or small! So if you're throwing a party and live in Toronto, Ontario Canada, or the GTA (Greater Toronto Area for the uninitiated!), contact me! My rates vary, depending on the size and length of the event, and are negotiable.

I do occasionally travel. If I do, and am able to give readings while away, I'll post where I'll be, and the dates, & if I'm coming to your town, I can give you a reading in person!
